Bob Marley thinking about his experience in Rajasthan.

It's 6th February, marking the birthday of the legend Bob Marley. Through his music, he has taught us to be bold, to have our own opinions, to be optimistic, and to carry our own voice and echo. We, the lovers of his music, follow his teachings like obedient disciples.

Since it's his birth anniversary, and he would have been 74 if he were physically alive today, I am paying tribute to the legend in my own way. At this moment, I only wish he were alive to enjoy my idea.

Before we move further, I have a question: Have you heard "Sun is Shining" by Bob Marley? Do you remember the lyrics? If yes, you can skip to the next section. If not, don't worry. Here is the video of the song. Feel free to listen and groove to it, and yes, don't forget to read the lyrics at least once!

Imagine Bob Marley visiting Rajasthan, a place known for its extreme climate. The summer can roast you, especially in North or West Rajasthan (Shekhawati Region or Thar Desert respectively). Now, if you asked Bob Marley to write a song about his travel experiences in Rajasthan, what would he have written? Still not sure? Don't worry; I’m here to ease things. If he were ever asked to do so, I feel he would have come up with this version of his iconic "Sun is Shining." Disclaimer: If you can sing, try singing these lyrics to the beat!

Sun is Burning: A Rajasthan Tribute

Sun is burning, the weather is unsweet
Makes you want to steady your dancing feet
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know, ya, where I stand
(Monday morning) here I am
Want you to know just if you can
(Tuesday evening) where I stand
(Wednesday morning) tell myself dust-rising winds are blowing
(Thursday evening) get on the set, a dust storm is arriving
(Friday morning) here I am
(Saturday evening) want you to know just
Want you to know just where I stand
When the morning gathers the dust storm
Want you to know I'm a dust storm too
So, to the rescue, here I am
Want you to know just if you can
Where I stand,
know, know, know, know, know, know, know
We'll lift our heads and ask for mercy
We'll lift our heads and ask for mercy, yeah-eh
Sun is burning, the weather is unsweet now
Makes you want to steady your dancing feet
To the rescue, here I am
Want you to know just if you can
Where I stand,
know, know, know, where I stand
Monday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Tuesday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Wednesday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Thursday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Friday morning, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
Saturday evening, scoo-be-doop-scoop-scoop
So to the rescue, to the rescue, to the rescue, alright
Stay safe in your home this summer,
Today could be another scorcher
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet
Sun is burning and the weather is unsweet

At this point, I only wish Bob Marley were physically with us today (I say physically because he is with us in spirit!). He would have loved this idea, maybe? It would have been a great feeling to hear his thoughts on this (Oh, the power of imagination!). Anyways, did you like it? Why not show your appreciation? So, that I can hear you all!
